Beware of These Timeshare Sellers

Beware of these timeshare "resell" companies. All three were "issued a warning to a third company in connection with the companies’ marketing practices of timeshare rentals and sales."

• Creative Vacation Solutions Inc., of Greenacres. Facing a formal regulatory action, the company agreed to pay $9,000 on allegations that it employed unlicensed sales agents and failed to register its current location with the state.
• Nationwide Marketing Solutions Inc., of Lake Worth. It, too, would have been served with an administrative complaint but chose to pay the state $1,000 to settle allegations that it was using sales contracts and sales scripts that had not been approved by the department.
• American Marketing Group LLC, of West Palm Beach - was advised of its requirement to register as a telemarketing company or face possible criminal charges.

I'm glad the government is finally taking some action, but from what I hear from the clients that call in to discuss their situation with us at Timeshare Attorney (The Roberts Law Group, PA) is that a fine without compensating those that were mislead is not enough.
